Judo: In 2007 I thru hiked the Appalachian Trail. I've also completed the Long Trail (VT) in sections, the John Muir Trail, the Wonderland Trail (around Mt. Rainier), the Coast to Coast path in UK (twice), the Tour de Mont Blanc, the Pembrokeshire Coast Path, and many more. An outdoors person since my early days (I got campsick when I came home from Girl Scout Camp) I spent most weekends in the White Mountains during college and grad school outside Boston. Having retired from my profession (international nutrition) I now have time to indulge my passion: hiking. In addition to hiking I volunteer extensively for hiking organizations. The inimitable Artunus is my spouse and we have two grown daughters.
